Quick Healthy Fixes

Life can get so fast paced and my health can sometimes be the first to suffer.

Instead of grabbing a large mocha and doughnut try these protein shakes:

use your favorite vanilla protein powder mix. (my personal favorite is spirituine or visalis)

APPLE PIE

  • 1/3 C. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1c. 40 cal. vanilla unsweetend almond milk
  • crushed ice
  • small handful of old fashioned oatmeal
  • cinn. and vanilla
    (you can change it to blueberry pie by adding frozen blueberries instead of applesauce)

RESEES PEANUT BUTTER CUP

  • organic cocoa powder
  • 1c. 40 cal vanilla unsweetened almond milk
  • a splash of vanilla and cinn.
  • 1-2Tbsp. sugar free chocolate pudding mix
  • 1-3 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • crushed ice

PUMKIN PIE

  • 1/3-1/2 cup canned pumkin
  • 1c. almond milk
  • crushed ice
  • dash cinn. and vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. pure maple syrup (opt.)

I have also found a piece of fruit or package of berries and nuts make a great quick snack.

humus and cucumber slices, or luncheon meat rolled in lettuce leaf with laughing cow light spread. Light 40 cal whole wheat bread with laughing cow light spread a slice of tomato is awesome as well.

Restaurant advice:

find ones that have great salads. Dressing on the side. Feta, and Parmesan is best choice for cheese. grilled chicken or fish, and forgo the bread. Greek salads are great. When ordering humus ask for cucumber slices.

Also you can forgo fast food by going into a health food grocers that has a salad bar or wraps. Chipolte restaurants have all kinds of healthy choices that you can run in and make it a salad or rice bowl instead of a burritos. Wildflower makes amazing salads you can get to go.
