Winter’s Peace

Winter’s frost in the midst of a diamond studded wonderland

Frosted thickly with heaping spoonfuls of provision,

tree limbs outstretch in a continuum of thankfulness

to it’s maker

Biting winds that feast on snow

scattering it in a cascading mist of falling glitter

Purest of meadows that have never been touched

Free from the traffic of footprints that muddy a disdained print

The quiet whisper of peace and silence

hidden away from the combustion of noise

Taking time to saturate myself with this mental picture

I tuck it away to hold onto when I need it most
